Vaccination and Health Practices

Riverside Berners is dedicated to raising strong, healthy puppies. As part of this commitment, we follow a comprehensive vaccination and deworming protocol. We also recommend that new owners schedule a veterinary check-up soon after bringing their puppy home. To assist your veterinarian, we provide detailed health and vaccination records for every puppy.

Deworming Schedule

2 Weeks of Age: Pyrantel Pamoate Suspension (Dewormer)
4 Weeks of Age: Second dose of Pyrantel Pamoate Suspension (Dewormer)
6 Weeks of Age: 10% Suspension Fenbendazole (a different dewormer)
8 Weeks of Age: Second dose of 10% Fenbendazole

Vaccination Schedule

6 Weeks of Age: Neopar Vaccination
8 Weeks of Age: Nobivac Canine 1-DAPPv (Galaxy DA2PPv) vaccination, Nobivac Canine Intra-Trac Oral
12 Weeks of Age (if puppy is still with us): Nobivac Canine 1-DAPPvL2 7-in-1 Dog Vaccine

Vaccine Handling & Safety

All vaccines administered to our puppies are purchased directly from reputable distributors and are NOT sourced from feed stores or other retail outlets. Vaccines are shipped in coolers with ice packs to maintain optimal temperature during transit. Upon arrival, vaccines are immediately stored in refrigeration at our kennels to ensure their efficacy. Our kennel is equipped with a backup generator to ensure constant refrigeration of vaccines in the event of a power outage. All vaccinations are administered by veterinary technicians.

Our on-staff veterinary technicians perform daily wellness checks, monitoring each puppy's development and overall health.

We believe that early and thorough socialization is crucial for well-adjusted puppies. What our puppies experience:

Frequent and positive interactions with people of all ages, from young children to seniors, to build confidence and comfort around a variety of individuals.
Regular supervised playdates with our own Riverside Berners dogs of various ages, from older adults to young puppies, to learn appropriate canine social skills, communication, and boundaries.
Exposure to the general public through our puppy yoga classes, where they interact with people of all age ranges in a positive and controlled environment prior to going to their new homes.
